FOCUS, which stands for Find Our Core & Ultimate Strategies, is SHINE AVI Learning Center’s parent mentoring program created to strengthen the connection between professional support, family involvement and each child’s individual development.

We are delighted to welcome around 11 children and their families into the program. Every Saturday, families travel from areas including Hoboken and Paramus to participate in sessions running from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Their commitment reflects the trust they place in the program and our shared goal of helping every child progress.

As we move through the program, parent feedback plays an important role in helping us improve. By understanding what families find valuable and where they need additional guidance, we can make the mentoring experience more effective for current and future students.

At SHINE AVI Learning Center, we believe childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write or count. It is a valuable period in which every child should be encouraged to learn, grow and develop at a pace that is right for them.

By mentoring parents, the support provided during sessions can continue at home and become part of the child’s everyday routine. We warmly welcome all our FOCUS Mentoring Program families and wish every child a meaningful and successful journey.
