Building Meaningful Social Connections

The AVI Social Skills Program is designed to help children develop the essential interpersonal and communication skills needed to build meaningful relationships and confidently navigate everyday social situations. Through structured group activities, guided interactions, and real-world practice, children learn how to connect with peers, understand social expectations, and express themselves effectively in a supportive and encouraging environment.

At SHINE AVI Learning Center, we recognize that social development is a critical part of a child's overall growth. Our program focuses on teaching practical skills such as initiating conversations, maintaining friendships, understanding emotions, taking turns, problem-solving, active listening, and working collaboratively with others. Each session is carefully designed to create opportunities for positive peer engagement while fostering confidence and independence.

Using evidence-based strategies and interactive learning experiences, children are encouraged to practice social behaviors in a safe setting where they can learn, make mistakes, and grow. Activities may include role-playing, cooperative games, group discussions, team-building exercises, and social-emotional learning tasks that help children better understand themselves and those around them.
